A place to come home to. Over and over again. That’s Vessel . A Kitchen & Bar where everyone is welcome. Where you can find a spot to work, have a coffee, get a bite to eat, sip a cocktail, or just sit back and relax. It’s all good. Find a spot on the couch by the fireplace or outside on our waterside patio. Our menu is bursting with delicious all-day dishes, a little something for everyone and changing with the seasons. For a lazy Sunday breakfast – healthy or hangover-worthy –, a quick lunch with co-workers, or long dinners with friends. Enjoy the amazing view over the IJ- welcome to your new neighbourhood living room!

Our mission

We believe comfort food and healthy, conscious ingredients go hand in hand. Our men and women in the kitchen and on the floor do everything they can to make sure you walk out of that door with a smile on your face. Our daily mission is simple: make delicious food you can enjoy without a care in the world. We work on our mission by using all of our products to the max with the smallest carbon footprint possible.

We work with local suppliers as much as we can: local farmers, fellow foodies and neighbours who care just as much about good food and drinks as we do. Get to know them and come taste their craft!

Our chef Ricardo van Ede makes our world go ‘round and our bellies rumble. He fills our menu with character. At 21, Ricardo was the youngest Dutch chef ever to receive a Michelin star, and he stands for a culinary movement that focuses on unique, pure and simple dishes without a fuss. Ricardo wants you to experience your food like a warm blanket, something that puts a smile on your face. If our guests leave Vessel Kitchen & Bar a little happier than when they showed up, it’s mission accomplished for him.

Our menu is bursting with modern, creative and healthy staples. Lots of plant-based dishes, but you’ll also find some planet-conscious meat on the menu. Local food and mind-blowing wine and cocktails. Our cooks have a huge amount of respect for the products they work with. ‘There’s no such thing as by-products: You can make something out of everything. That makes my work challenging, interesting and creative. Take a bite, you’ll know what we’re talking about.’

A 5 course NYE dinner for 2 in the comfort of your own home. Don’t spend hours in the kitchen. We’ve done all the hard work. You just have to do the final touch



Vessel Kitchen & Bar is open all day every day. We serve food from 7 am to 22 pm. From sunday to thursday our café-restaurant is open until midnight, on friday and saturday until 1 am.
